Safeagent coming late to the party on this and have backed the wrong horse. Given their lack of influence within government, I doubt the people that matter will give two hoots about their view.

A deluded request in the current climate...

I’m sure the govt will place great weight on PropertyMarks views.

The govt have kicked this piece of regulation into the long grass. “Consultation with industry” and a “white paper” all mean delays. I’m staggered shelter and GR can’t see through this, esp after two years of waiting, all they’ve got is a commitment to look at this area with no mention of a Bill.

Crikey these guys have no shame. All they are interested in is their legal aid fee!!

Probably worth moving over to PIE which gives the right context on this story - how any reputable news page can twist this story in such a way is beyond me!

NRLA have done a decent job, assuming of course courts do reopen on monday!

This is excellent research, and critically far relevant than anything that has come out so far - and making Shelter look like idiots. Great to see NRLA putting this out.

What a nonsense comment.

Absolute nonsense. Must be done on a per property basis, from which tenants will benefit. I’ve never met such an entitled bunch of people!! Never grateful.

The reality is the noble lord doesn’t have a prayer. If the measures were to be lifted as described, there would, for a short time, be no protection for renters - im not sure this is what she wants. I can only assume therefore, that she makes this application knowing full well it won’t succeed. The nrla have actually done a good job of getting the minister on side to prevent more draconian measures coming in.

Great to see GenRent outplayed by NRLA. there was a massive risk S21/S8,G8 could have been watered down significantly, soto see the minister side with landlords and reel off all of the nrla’s figures was a welcome change. Haven’t seen ARLA anywhere on this.

This group have no political support from anywhere. The best approach in dealing with this group is to ignore them, and not give any airtime to their ideas, which are obviously ludicrous.
