Housing juggernaut Legal & General says it’s now half way through a £400m Build To Rent scheme in Wandsworth, south London.
It claims the scheme - called New Acres - “is set to transform a six-acre area” with a massive 1,035 flats.
The firm says New Acres - due for completion later this year - will represent one of the largest purpose-built rental developments in the UK.
It will also include over 25 shops, businesses, workspaces, markets and public areas.
There will be a mix of one, two and three bedroom flats with tenants to be given the option to have furnishings supplied.
L&G claims it has had over 1,800 enquiries to date.
Lifestyle amenities include a heated outdoor lido; private dining rooms, a gym; and work spaces.
The firm gives no details of costs to tenants.
LGIM claims it is making significant investments in the ‘ground floor’ of the development with a dedicated team seeking occupiers.
